Changed batteries to 2 x 6 Volt

In an effort to gain a little more off-grid time I’ve changed to 2 x 6 Volt batteries to get the available AmpHours up. I’ve also changed Solar Controllers to an MPPT type. May not actually make much difference but it has a display with information as to Solar and Battery where I might be able to optimize parking location such as turn a bit this way or that way to get better output from the solar panels.

I will also be adding another 28 watts of solar. May all be in vain but nothing ventured, noting gained. In preparation of adding the 21 watt solar panel ahead of the vent I have to remove the ProLite decal. A bit apprehensive about doing that but its got to be done to get a good install of the panel.

I still have to wire my fridge outlet back to the tow vehicle. I also shortened my 7-pin cable so that the excess is no longer taking up room in the trailer. While reconnecting the leads I found that pin 7 is unused.I thought it was being used to supply tow vehicle power for trailer battery charging but guess not. Must all be done vi pin 4. Might allow for some extra charging power via a combiner if current setup proves to be too little charge while travelling. Time will tell.
